Warburton Rail Trail Adventure showcased on Channel 9’s Postcards Special!
We were thrilled to recently showcase our Cycling Tour in the stunning Yarra Valley with the crew from Channels 9’s Postcards.
Shane Crawford was our guest for the day and he bonded with nature, cycling along the Warburton Rail Trail from Mt Evelyn to Woori Yallock.
We gave Shane a bit of a history lesson on the Trail, built on the original railway line in 1901 and stopped at the 111-year-old original train carriage that is the Carriage Café in Seville, where we snacked on scones, jam and cream.
Just an hour out of the city, you can breathe in the fresh country air and it feels like you have been transported far away, cycling past farms and vineyards, alongside beautiful bush, lush green ferns, native birds and kangaroos. We were even spoilt with the appearance of a kookaburra laughing above us!
After our cycle, we packed up the bikes and were rewarded with a scrumptious lunch and wine tasting at Killara Estate Winery in the Upper Yarra Valley.
Shane agreed a highlight was the smell of gum leaves and the peace and serenity on the Trail, away from the city traffic noise. He said he would highly recommend our Cycle Tour on the “Warby Rail Trail”.
