Day 1
Enjoy a leisurely morning cycle tour through the rolling countryside of the Yarra Valley, passing farms and vineyards. The cycling is easy and enjoyable riding along the Warburton Rail Trail from the townships of Mt Evelyn to Woori Yallock. Stop for morning tea at a local winery or the iconic Carriage Cafe.
After the cycle enjoy a local winery wood fired pizza lunch and glass of wine, beer or soft drink. Visit one of the established wineries in the area such as Yering Station. On the way to your accommodation at Seville Estate visit local produce stores to buy supplies for dinner and breakfast.
Arrive at Seville Estate and check into your modern Vineyard Apartment. Wander through the beautiful native gardens to the wine tasting room showcasing amazing views. Experience a guided tasting of Seville Estate wine and a platter of local cheese. In the evening soak up the Yarra Valley landscape and indulge in local wine and produce you have purchased on your cycle tour.
Day 2
After your self catered breakfast Cycling VineTours will meet you for your second day of cycling. Today the cycle tour will take you along the Yarra River crossing restored bridges with the backdrop of stunning mountain scenery. Stop for morning tea in the timber town of Yarra Junction. Arrive in Warburton and take the time to stroll through the picturesque historic township and enjoy a delicious local lunch by the banks of the Yarra River.
Relax, enjoy the cycle and stay experience. Cycling VineTours will take you on a fantastic tour of the Yarra Valley.
Included: guide, bike, helmet, water bottle, morning tea x2, lunch x2 with one glass of wine, beer or soft drink, tasting at 1-2 Yarra Valley wineries and visit to cheese or chocolate factory time permitting. Getting There
Drive to Seville Estate OR
Catch a suburban train to Lilydale Train Station. Train journey is an hour from Flinders Street Station in Melbourne CBD. Cycling VineTours will pick you up and drive 15 minutes to the tour start point. At the end of the day Cycling VineTours will return you to the train station.
City pick up maybe available on request – $50 per person with minimum of 2.
Great Day Out
Our day riding was just perfect. Allison and Libbie were great hosts and we had plenty of fun. The ride was easy and the countryside was fantastic, with some perfectly timed stops to sample some great food and wines, Everything ran like clockwork. Highly recommended for a fun get together with friends.
