Day 1. Self Guided Cycle through the Peninsula
Arrive at your boutique accommodation in the afternoon. Time to kick off your shoes, enjoy the surroundings. Your trip organizer will meet you with your bikes, rain jackets, water bottles and maps with options of cycling routes. You can choose the amount of cycling for each day.
Day 2. Self Guided Cycle through the Peninsula
After a hearty breakfast the perfect day awaits to ride through rolling countryside, with avenues of cedar trees providing shade from the sun and magnificent views across the Peninsula. Cycle mostly on unsealed roads past stalls where you can fill up on local delights for your picnic lunch which can be anything from just picked cherries, aged meats, preserves, locally made cheeses, organic vegetables, freshly baked bread and olive products. Deciding on which award winning winery to stop at for tastings, there is always the option of one of the boutique breweries. Call into a local strawberry farm for some sweet treats before continuing on your way. Return to your accommodation and make your own gourmet picnic with produce you have collected on your cycle tour.
Day 3. Guided Walk through Red Hill
Maybe a slow start today and breakfast on the patio? Then come and join us for a delightful guided walk through Red Hill. You’ll be picked up at your accommodation and transferred to the start of the walk by your guide. Then a wonderful morning’s walk through the countryside on a walking track is followed by a delicious morning tea at the Epicurean centre. Afterwards we walk through backlanes of the Peninsula past fruit orchards, vineyards and woods.
We call in for a light lunch at Green Olive sampling some of their excellent locally grown produce, coffee and a little wine tasting. Next we cut through the orchards and onto a little used track which brings us out at more local producers, where we sample excellent locally made cheeses.
Alternatively you may wish to have a day of relaxation at the Peninsula hot springs with naturally heated thermal pools and private baths (entry & treatments not included)
