“My fiancé and I decided to do our wine tasting trip with Vine Tours for something active and a little different.
Vine tours picked us up from our accommodation in Mornington, took us up to Arthur’s Seat and got us on our bikes, along with great recommendations for a riding route. It was a 35 degree day so it was good to get some tips for a shady ride.
Our self guided trip took us wine tasting, cider tasting, cheese tasting and to an amazing American style BBQ lunch! The route was great, lots of time spent on quiet tracks off the road.
Vine Tours we’re friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this as a great experience on the Peninsula.”

We had a fantastic day cycling with 7 friends and our lovely host Libbie and back up host Ali. The riding was not too hard, on the made roads, dirt roads and tracks. There was the option of increased adventure if you chose to tackle the muddy bike tracks a long side the road. We started at Arthurs seat enjoying a yummy morning tea at a local cafe and rode through to Red Hill, stopping for wine tasting and the strawberry farm along the way. We devoured a scrumptious pizza lunch at T’Gallant and ended our day on pretty dirt roads lined by gums trees, cruising into Shoreham. Out hosts were organised, caring and great fun!!! I highly recommend this experience.

Lovely day in the Yarra Valley
We wanted to see the Yarra Valley by bike while visiting Melbourne. Without knowing anyone in the area we came across the VineTours website on google. We had a very quick response from Libbie, and booked the tour along the Warburton track with a visit to a couple of wineries. We opted for the Pizza Lunch at Soumah winery, which was very nice.
Alison and Libbie picked us up in Melbourne, they took very good care of us, and after a lovely day in the Yarra Valley brought us back to Melbourne.
We will recommend the VineTours company to our friends.

“a really really great day out!”
I recently went on one of Vine Tours Mornington Peninsula trips and I can highly recommend it.
The bikes are in great condition and there are plenty of different sizes to suit all heights. The guides were very friendly and informative and the pace was fine for a novice cyclist like myself. We stopped for morning tea at a cheese farm and then ended the cycling with a lovely picnic lunch at Flinders. After lunch we were picked up and chauffeured around a few local wineries with the opportunity to sample the wines and buy bottles if we wanted to. We were then driven back to the city centre.
All in all it was a really fun day out – the cycling wasn’t too strenuous but it felt great to get out in the fresh air and I felt as though I had earned my lunch afterwards. It was also nice to be able to sample the wine without someone in your party having to be the designated driver! The scenery is fantastic and although I had driven in this area before to see it from two wheels definitely gives you a different perspective.
“A Taste of Europe in Melbourne”
I’ve lived in Melbourne for most of my life and have managed to overlook the Mornington Peninsula. Turns out it’s a great place for wine and bikes, not to mention the food. I just returned from a few weeks in France and cycling the vineyards, so was really surprised at what a fabulous combination was right on my doorstep.
This tour starts with a morning of cycling between cheese factories and strawberry farms. We ride onwards until we hit the ocean and then stop for lunch. More cheese of course. With the bikes packed away we spend the rest of the afternoon sampling the local wines, before being dropped of back in the city.
The bikes are great, the wines are great, the scenery is peachy and the whole thing just works a treat for a day trip. The clever bit is making sure to keep the pedalling and wine tasting quite separate. I felt I earned myself a treat after a morning on the bike, so enjoyed the wine all the more.
“The perfect day out!”
My husband and I recently went on a bicycle wine tour through the Mornington Peninsula. We could not have wished for a more beautiful day.
Once we arrived at Arthur’s Seat we had the chance to take in the breathtaking views of Port Phillip Bay before heading off on a 20km bike ride. Our first stop was a cheese factory where we sampled a range of locally produced cheese. Delicious!
We arrived at the township of Flinders where we enjoyed a picnic lunch by the beach. The lunch was scrumptious and was just what we needed after our bike ride. Once our bellies were full we continued our journey on the bus visiting several wineries. It gave us the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the wine tour experience.
Overall, it was a great day out! Everyone was friendly, the guides were informative and the riding most enjoyable. It was an opportunity for my husband and I to spend the day together without children and enjoy another hidden gem Victoria has on offer; The Mornington Pensinsula!
“The best of the Mornington Peninsula”
What a perfect day!! Our cycle tour was an absolute joy, taking in the foodie delights of the Peninsula and the magic of a spring day. Amazing views of nature blossoming at its best through the rolling hills, peeks at the ocean, orchards, vineyards and olive groves, sampling delicious cheeses whilst the baby goats played in the paddocks all capped off by some of the best wines Ive tasted. Our guide was knowledgable and very organized and everyone in the group had a wonderful day.
“A Great way to sample local produce on the Mornington Peninsula, and under your own steam!”
Vine Tours offered a great chance for us to sample some great food and wine on the Mornington Peninsula whilst taking in some breathtaking views, and giving us a sense of achievement for the day.
The bikes provided were great, and we were able to take a leisurely pace from one side of the coast to another, being able to stop to sample wine and cheese was a real treat, and we got a bit of a locals look at some of the more hidden places off the trail that might have been missed otherwise.
All in all I’d thoroughly recommend this trip for people who want to get to one of the most beautiful spots in Victoria, taking in the delicious local food, mixing it up with some exercise, and taking the stress out of having to think too much.
And of course the riding takes the guilt out of the sampling!!
